Economic development, small business development, industrial manufacturing, financial resources, area demographics, infrastructure maps, and general lifestyle information has been included for Grant County, Green County, Crawford County, Lafayette County and Richland County. Because of our close proximity, we have included some information relevant to Madison, Dubuque and La Crosse as well.
Wisconsin economic development resources include Locate in Wisconsin, a state-wide database of buildings, industrial parks and building sites available for a new business or business expansion. Alliant Energy Economic Development resources are available for communities they serve in the southwest Wisconsin region.
Prosperity Southwest Wisconsin is the region’s economic development organization, with a focus on business recruitment and retention for both small businesses and large industrial corporations. We are intent on strengthening the business climate and service industries in our region.

Akita Company executives from Japan visited southwest Wisconsin during the summer of 2015. They met with Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection Secretary Brancel as well as other economic development representatives.
